A top price for Tang Pinggang - as previously expected
In October 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untilted by Tang Pinggang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 233,640.00 (€ 24,053.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untilted is the most expensive artwork by Tang Pinggang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untilted von Tang Pinggang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 233.640,00 (€ 24.053,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untilted das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tang Pinggang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
