Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Nothing to Wear' by Talbot Hughes was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The price achieved of GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,938.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Talbot Hughes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sewing for victory, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 19,975.00 (€ 31,281.12).
