Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work The game larder by Talbot Hughes. The price achieved of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,359.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Talbot Hughes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sewing for victory in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 19,975.00 (€ 31,281.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit The game larder von Talbot Hughes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.359,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Talbot Hughes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sewing for victory im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.975,00 (€ 31.281,12).
