This artwork by Tadeusz Makowski achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2009. In the 19th Century European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and The Scandinavian Sale auction, the work Polish Petit Garcon sold for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,078.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tadeusz Makowski; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fleurs en Plein Air, Paris framed 41.0 x 62.5 x 4.5 cm (16 1/8 x 24 5/8 x 1 4/5 in). sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of USD 76,700.00 (€ 70,315.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tadeusz Makowski erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and The Scandinavian Sale wurde die Arbeit Polish Petit Garcon für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.078,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00.
