This artwork by Fernando Liger Hidalgo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2008. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Spanish Moorish Interior sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,703.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. This high result makes Spanish Moorish Interior the most expensive artwork by Fernando Liger Hidalgo that we have observed at auctions so far.
