Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bedroom by Sylvia Gosse was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,001.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sylvia Gosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fairground, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,505.36).
