Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work The meet at the Fox Inn, Bransford, Worcester; and On the scent by Sylvester Martin. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,544.44). Other works by Sylvester Martin have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,815.81) in October 2004 for the work The ghillie's rest.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The meet at the Fox Inn, Bransford, Worcester; and On the scent von Sylvester Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.544,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Sylvester Martin haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.346,00 (€ 4.815,81) im Oktober 2004 für die Arbeit The ghillie's rest beobachtet.
