Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two amorous couples in a brothel in the Yoshiwara by Suzuki Harunobu was auctioned at Bonhams in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,966.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Suzuki Harunobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Furyu enshoku Maneemon (Fashionable lusty Maneemon) in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 107,671.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two amorous couples in a brothel in the Yoshiwara von Suzuki Harunobu kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.966,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Suzuki Harunobu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Furyu enshoku Maneemon (Fashionable lusty Maneemon) im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 107.671,60).
