This artwork by Suzanne Valadon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October last year. In the The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale auction, the work Les Lilas Et Camélias sold for USD 138,600.00 (€ 139,520.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suzanne Valadon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nu à la draperie, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 475,000.00 (€ 420,838.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Suzanne Valadon erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Les Lilas Et Camélias für USD 138.600,00 (€ 139.520,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Suzanne Valadon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nu à la draperie beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 475.000,00 (€ 420.838,13) versteigert wurde.
