Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Piles of Shade by Susanne M. Winterling was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,000.00 (€ 811.69). Other works by Susanne M. Winterling have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2018 by the work Untitled (formation spoons) at USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,116.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Piles of Shade von Susanne M. Winterling im März 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.000,00 (€ 811,69) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Susanne M. Winterling wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2018 die Arbeit Untitled (formation spoons) mit USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.116,07).
