Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of James Ii, King Of England (1633-1701), Circa 1685 by Susan Penelope Rosse was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,803.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Susan Penelope Rosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Louise Renée de Kérouaille, Duchess of Portsmouth and Aubigny (1649-1734), in lace-bordered blue dress, gem-set pendant at corsage, a further gem-set pendant at her left shoulder, her upswept brown hair dressed in ringlets, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,250.97).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of James Ii, King Of England (1633-1701), Circa 1685 von Susan Penelope Rosse kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.803,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden.
