Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian No Landscape Is Equal To A Woman'S Beauty by Susan Norrie. The price achieved of AUD 20,400.00 (€ 11,993.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Susan Norrie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pageant I, 1987, which sold at auction in November 2018 for AUD 40,260.00 (€ 35,555.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian No Landscape Is Equal To A Woman'S Beauty von Susan Norrie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 20.400,00 (€ 11.993,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Susan Norrie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pageant I, 1987 beobachtet, die im November 2018 für AUD 40.260,00 (€ 35.555,95) versteigert wurde.
