Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Godzilla Becomes Angry by Susan Norrie was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. It changed hands for a price of AUD 2,160.00 (€ 1,269.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Susan Norrie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pageant I, 1987 in November 2018 with an auction result of AUD 40,260.00 (€ 35,555.95).

Die Arbeit Australian Godzilla Becomes Angry von Susan Norrie wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 2.160,00 (€ 1.269,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Susan Norrie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pageant I, 1987 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 40.260,00 (€ 35.555,95).
