This artwork by Lily Yeats achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Yeats: The Family Collection auction, the work Benbulbin, 1895 sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,963.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lily Yeats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three Embroideries, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,926.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lily Yeats erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Yeats: The Family Collection wurde die Arbeit Benbulbin, 1895 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.963,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lily Yeats mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three Embroideries beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.926,99) versteigert wurde.
