This artwork by Sun Duoci achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Two Sparrows On Plum Branch sold for HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,778.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sun Duoci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Double Bliss(Painted In 1953), which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,441.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sun Duoci erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Two Sparrows On Plum Branch für HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.778,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sun Duoci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Double Bliss(Painted In 1953) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 76.700,00 (€ 8.441,74) versteigert wurde.
