This artwork by Sui Mingyong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,102.74) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 32,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sui Mingyong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphic Couplet, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,187.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sui Mingyong erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.102,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 32.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sui Mingyong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.187,22) versteigert wurde.
