A top price for Sui Mingyong - as previously expected
The work Calligraphic Couplet by Sui Mingyong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,187.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphic Couplet is the most expensive artwork by Sui Mingyong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet von Sui Mingyong wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.187,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphic Couplet das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sui Mingyong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
