A top price for Suhas Roy - as previously expected
In July 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art, which included the work Midnight by Suhas Roy. The price achieved of USD 57,000.00 (€ 41,572.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Midnight is the most expensive artwork by Suhas Roy that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Midnight von Suhas Roy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 57.000,00 (€ 41.572,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Midnight das teuerste Kunstwerk von Suhas Roy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
