Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Suad Al Attar. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,488.41). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suad Al Attar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset on Salam City, which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 70,250.00 (€ 81,736.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Suad Al Attar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.488,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Suad Al Attar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset on Salam City beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 70.250,00 (€ 81.736,34) versteigert wurde.
