Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zhong Kui And Two Demons by Su Renshan was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III auction at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,753.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Su Renshan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,106.78).

Die Arbeit Zhong Kui And Two Demons von Su Renshan wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.753,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
