Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work Willow Tree by Su Manshu was worth HKD 365,800.00 (€ 41,810.40) to a buyer in October 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Su Manshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Assemblage Of Landscapes in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 28,813,500.00 (€ 3,040,284.83).

Die Arbeit Willow Tree von Su Manshu war einem Käufer im Oktober 2019 HKD 365.800,00 (€ 41.810,40) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Su Manshu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Assemblage Of Landscapes im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 28.813.500,00 (€ 3.040.284,83).
