Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES, which included the work H.M.S. Brilliant On Her Way Out Of Plymouth Sound, With Nisus And Another Warship At Anchor In Cawsand Bay by Stuart Bolton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,739.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stuart Bolton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.M.S. Royal Sovereign emerging from her refit and lying in the Hamoaze, Plymouth Sound in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,152.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES durch, in der auch die Arbeit H.M.S. Brilliant On Her Way Out Of Plymouth Sound, With Nisus And Another Warship At Anchor In Cawsand Bay von Stuart Bolton zur Versteigerung kam. Royal Sovereign emerging from her refit and lying in the Hamoaze, Plymouth Sound im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.152,55).
