This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 700.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Holding Hands (Maquette) in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 319,244.23).
