This artwork by Stien Eelsingh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. In the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Two girls from Staphorst sold for EUR 4,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stien Eelsingh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staphorster children with rooster, which sold at auction in January 2007 for EUR 11,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stien Eelsingh erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Two girls from Staphorst für EUR 4.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Stien Eelsingh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staphorster children with rooster beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für EUR 11.400,00 versteigert wurde.
