Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work Going to church, Staphorst by Stien Eelsingh. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stien Eelsingh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staphorster children with rooster, which sold at auction in January 2007 for EUR 11,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Going to church, Staphorst von Stien Eelsingh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Stien Eelsingh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staphorster children with rooster beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für EUR 11.400,00 versteigert wurde.
