In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A summer bouquet by Stien Eelsingh. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,560.00 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stien Eelsingh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staphorster children with rooster, which sold at auction in January 2007 for EUR 11,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A summer bouquet von Stien Eelsingh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.560,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Stien Eelsingh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staphorster children with rooster beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für EUR 11.400,00 versteigert wurde.
