Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Steven Lindsay achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work 'Non swimmer dilemma - study' sold for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,949.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Steven Lindsay; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 2nd Arc of Petasos sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of GBP 2,304.00 (€ 2,645.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Lindsay erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit 'Non swimmer dilemma - study' für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.949,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Steven Lindsay; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 2nd Arc of Petasos im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.304,00 (€ 2.645,63).
