In March this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Two works: (i) The evening at Sui Wo Court in Spring; (ii) The big tree at Junction Road by Stephen Wong Chun Hei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 88,900.00 (€ 10,409.28), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Wong Chun Hei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work MacLehose Trail: Section 10 in October this year with an auction result of HKD 1,143,000.00 (€ 138,224.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) The evening at Sui Wo Court in Spring; (ii) The big tree at Junction Road von Stephen Wong Chun Hei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 88.900,00 (€ 10.409,28) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Wong Chun Hei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit MacLehose Trail: Section 10 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.143.000,00 (€ 138.224,26).
