Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in 19 - held the auction Heatwave: Online Auction, which included the work Via Via by Stephen Buckley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 508.00 (€ 508.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Buckley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wallace in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,994.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 19 - die Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Via Via von Stephen Buckley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 508,00 (€ 508,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Buckley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wallace im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.994,08).
