This artwork by Stephen Antonakos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2020. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work JA#2, 1983 sold for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,404.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Stephen Antonakos; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot "Red and blue incomplete circle" sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of SEK 95,000.00 (€ 9,342.06).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Stephen Antonakos erzielte im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit JA#2, 1983 für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.404,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Stephen Antonakos; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit "Red and blue incomplete circle" im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von SEK 95.000,00 (€ 9.342,06).
