In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Polish painting Cxxxv by Stefan Gierowski. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 87,500.00 (€ 98,697.34), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stefan Gierowski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work CLXVII, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 239,400.00 (€ 278,898.35).

Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Polish painting Cxxxv von Stefan Gierowski zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 98.697,34) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Stefan Gierowski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit CLXVII beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 239.400,00 (€ 278.898,35) versteigert wurde.
