Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Sorcier (Wizard) by Stanley William Hayter. The »bidding war« ended at USD 956.00 (€ 852.66), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley William Hayter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 115,000.00 (€ 100,965.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sorcier (Wizard) von Stanley William Hayter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 956,00 (€ 852,66) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley William Hayter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 115.000,00 (€ 100.965,76).
