In August 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Daffodil Time, Lamorna by Stanley Horace Gardiner. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,665.34), 63% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Daffodil Time, Lamorna the most expensive artwork by Stanley Horace Gardiner that we have observed at auctions so far.
