Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work The Pool in the Rocks in Lamorna by Stanley Horace Gardiner. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,082.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Other works by Stanley Horace Gardiner have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2005 the work Daffodil Time, Lamorna was auctioned for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,665.34).
