Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Christies in New York held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Scandal in the harem by Sophie Anderson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,161.07), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sophie Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No Walk Today in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,038,050.00 (€ 1,255,080.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scandal in the harem von Sophie Anderson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.161,07) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sophie Anderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No Walk Today im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.038.050,00 (€ 1.255.080,46).
