Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lily, c. 1930 by Sonya Noskowiak was sold in the Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé auction at Christies in New York in October 2017. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,756.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sonya Noskowiak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Glass study with reflections in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 16,450.00 (€ 19,384.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lily, c. 1930 von Sonya Noskowiak wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.756,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sonya Noskowiak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Glass study with reflections im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.450,00 (€ 19.384,87).
