Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Street Art, which included the work New Lots Avenue, 2009 by Sonic. The price achieved of EUR 2,550.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sonic - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Midnight Magic - 2011, which sold at auction in February 2015 for EUR 10,140.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Street Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit New Lots Avenue, 2009 von Sonic zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.550,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sonic mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Midnight Magic - 2011 beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für EUR 10.140,00 versteigert wurde.
