Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Pale Tree And Small Boats by Sonia Lawson. The price achieved of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,157.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sonia Lawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Tree, Green Lake, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 2,270.50 (€ 3,267.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pale Tree And Small Boats von Sonia Lawson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.157,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sonia Lawson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Tree, Green Lake beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für GBP 2.270,50 (€ 3.267,87) versteigert wurde.
