This artwork by Song Wenzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Wu Mountain sold for HKD 240,000.00 (€ 245,086.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Song Wenzhi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot River sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of HKD 2,478,000.00 (€ 279,026.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Song Wenzhi erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Wu Mountain für HKD 240.000,00 (€ 245.086,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Song Wenzhi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit River im Oktober 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.478.000,00 (€ 279.026,47).
