A top price for Song Wenzhi - as previously expected
In October 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work River by Song Wenzhi. The price achieved of HKD 2,478,000.00 (€ 279,026.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,100,000.00 – 3,100,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, River is the most expensive artwork by Song Wenzhi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit River von Song Wenzhi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.478.000,00 (€ 279.026,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.100.000,00 – 3.100.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist River das teuerste Kunstwerk von Song Wenzhi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
