Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Travel by Song Kun was sold in the 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 680,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 79,280.79). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Kun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garden of Auspicious Animals, which sold at auction in December 2021 for HKD 2,375,000.00 (€ 269,018.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Travel von Song Kun wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 680.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 79.280,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Kun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garden of Auspicious Animals beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für HKD 2.375.000,00 (€ 269.018,38) versteigert wurde.
