In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Flowers And Birds by Song Guangbao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,533.00), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Guangbao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Assorted Fruits, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,566.91).

Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers And Birds von Song Guangbao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.533,00) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Guangbao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Assorted Fruits beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.566,91) versteigert wurde.
