Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Burial on the Plains by Solon Hannibal Borglum. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,356.21). Other works by Solon Hannibal Borglum have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 37,500.00 (€ 26,546.79) in May 2009 for the work Sioux Indian Buffalo Dancer.

Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Burial on the Plains von Solon Hannibal Borglum zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.356,21) einen neuen Besitzer.
