In November last year Christies in London held the auction Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The London No Reserve Edit, which included the work Claudett by Sławomir Elsner. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,920.10), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sławomir Elsner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kalifornien II in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,293.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The London No Reserve Edit durch, in der auch die Arbeit Claudett von Sławomir Elsner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.920,10) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sławomir Elsner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kalifornien II im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.293,25).
