Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Taj Mahal in morning light by Sita Ram was sold in the Arts of India auction at Christies in London in September 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 26,481.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sita Ram have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Les bords du Gange was auctioned for EUR 27,600.00.

Die Arbeit The Taj Mahal in morning light von Sita Ram wurde im September 2003 in der Auktion Arts of India bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 26.481,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Sita Ram konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Les bords du Gange für EUR 27.600,00 versteigert.
