Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction Exploration & Travel with Visions of India, which included the work The Taj-Mahal from the south-east, Agra by Sita Ram. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,661.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Sita Ram have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Les bords du Gange was auctioned for EUR 27,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Exploration & Travel with Visions of India durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Taj-Mahal from the south-east, Agra von Sita Ram zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 19.661,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Sita Ram konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Les bords du Gange für EUR 27.600,00 versteigert.
