Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2015 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures, which included the work The yellow house (recto); and A landscape scene (verso) by William MacTaggart. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,372.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William MacTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gauldrons, Machrihanish in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,932.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The yellow house (recto); and A landscape scene (verso) von William MacTaggart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.372,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William MacTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gauldrons, Machrihanish im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.932,02).
