Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sunset At Fisherrow by William MacTaggart was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,094.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William MacTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gauldrons, Machrihanish in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,932.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sunset At Fisherrow von William MacTaggart wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.094,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William MacTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gauldrons, Machrihanish im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.932,02).
