Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Study of a male nude by William Blake Richmond for USD 875.00 (€ 740.71). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Paul F. Walter at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake Richmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Watchers in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 81,426.82).
