Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Edith Liddell by William Blake Richmond was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,921.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake Richmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Watchers in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 81,426.82).
